Shocked Otto, shortly before his death.
A girl wakes up in a life support pod. She doesn't remember who or where she is. After being pressured to recall her past and escape the pod by voices inside her mind calling themselves id, ego, and super-ego, she meets Otto Apocalypse who came to check on her. The girl's memories aren't complete, but she still recalls the moment Otto killed her and it stings her heart. The 3 voices all agree that Otto has to die for humanity's sake. She pushes Otto against a wall and readies a fist...
Schicksal HQ is in shambles by the time Durandal finds Otto's body lying on the ground.

Kiana and Bronya reach Mount Taixuan in search of Fu Hua's Fenghuang Down. The place is swarmed with Honkai beasts, which the duo finds unusual. They find one feather but Kiana fails to connect with it. The attempt to activate the feather attracted nearby Honkai beasts who are promptly defeated with the help of an unfamiliar figure.

The stranger introduces herself as Lin Zhaoyu, a disciple of Taixuan School - a martial arts school founded by Fu Hua to help the people of Shenzhou fight against the Honkai. Lin Zhaoyu's oath forbids her from teaching Kiana Edge of Taixuan's Blade Mantra, which would help Kiana control her power better, so instead, she proposes to break seals on any feathers the girls will bring to her.
In hopes of finding any clues, Bronya and Kiana enter a memory of the feather they found before and bear witness to Fu Hua's life from 50,000 years ago. Back then, Fu Hua was just a normal girl, albeit rather shy. She'd train in her father's kung fu dojo and while she didn't have any friends, her neighbors all cared deeply for her and her father.
The memory ends with Fu Hua preparing herself to leave her hometown in order to study in a more prosperous city. Not being quite satisfied with their findings, Kiana and Bronya continue their search for the feathers.
20-3[]
Kiana and Bronya continued their search for the feathers around the mountain. Upon finding the feather the two girls entered another piece of Fu Hua's memory, taking place at St. Freya. Fu Hua overhears two girls discussing about a supposed zombie attack at Sapphire.
Curiosity took over Fu Hua and she searches for the two girls. To which they notice Fu Hua, and spoke ill about her. The memory ends with Fu Hua going back to her class.

Kiana and Bronya talked to one another; showing remorse for Fu Hua as she had experienced such experiences before. Their interaction quickly ended and the two went around looking for one of the feathers again.
They then saw that the feather was sealed, to which they first thought of seeking assistance from the lady, but Kiana grew vigilant toward her. The two went back to search for Lin Zhaoyu, informing her about the sealed feather, Lin Zhaoyu bluntly stated how these feathers have been unable to locate by several people for thousands of years, yet the feathers had been retrieved once they arrived.
The two girls responded with silence, and Lin Zhaoyu shook off her words and told them to pay no mind to it. Lin Zhaoyu held the feather, then pushing it towards Kiana as she entered another memory. The memory took place in the MOTH Base, revealing Kevin Kaslana walking with Fu Hua who was in her Shadow Knight battlesuit. Kevin informed Hua that Dr. MEI will be transferring her to the Far East due to the MANTIS force being disbanded, Hua replying with no care about being transferred to the Far East, showing her determination to eliminate the Houkai no matter what or where she was in.
Kevin confronted Hua about her still being in an angry state. Hua stated how Kevin continued on wanting Hua to understand MEI, and how she didn't even try to understand the Captain. Hua stood her ground, telling Kevin to cease to ask Hua to understand her, as she doesn't need her understanding.
Their walk continued in silence as they arrived at an intersection, stating their goodbyes as they walked the opposite corridors. Afterwards, Kiana and Bronya started to piece some things together, coming up with the conclusion that the memory was taking place during the Previous Era.

Kiana and Bronya speaks to Lin Zhaoyu and informs her about the memory of Master Pheonix's life from a really long time ago. They explain that in the memory, Pheonix was in a war against the Houkai. Lin Zhaoyu reveals that in Shenzhou, the Houkai is called Zhenqi Essence or the Yaoqi Corruption.. their school had one rule, that was to give no mercy for the corrupted.
As their conversation ended, the two girls found another feather. There was a voice desperately calling out for Pheonix to wake up, and as she already probably guessed she had passed out. According to Nuwa and Fuxi, it was for the third time that week. Nuwa tells her to get more sleep, but Pheonix refused at first but gave in soon enough.
After that, Pheonix went and fought more Houkai beasts but gets another headache during that. Pheonix describes it as a 'massive swelling, a sudden, painful flood of memories'. Suddenly a massive Houkai beast headed their way, Pheonix defeated it and the three went back to Mount Taixuan. Pheonix chatted with Fuxi, and reminiscing about her past when she was just a normal, scared little girl. During Pheonix's sleep, she overhears Fuxi and Nuwa talking, they talked about something to do with Dr. MEI and how things are happenings just as expected, and that Pheonix was developing identity disorders and rejecting memory rearrangements. Nuwa says something about a 'next phase', but Fuxi refuses to initiate it.
