Honkai Impact 3 Wiki is a community project run entirely by volunteers to provide information for the game.
Getting Started[]
- Our community of editors is open to anyone. If you would like to join in, consider registering. While you can edit anonymously, a free account makes it easier to keep track of your own edits.
- You can start small by fixing spelling, grammar, and other errors you come across naturally. You can also check the to-do list below.
- If you don't know how to edit a page, check "Editing pages" article on the Gamepedia Help Wiki.
- Wiki Updating Guide offers step-by-step guides for making new pages or adding missing information.
- All edits are subject to wiki's policies.

- Wiki maintenance category lists various pages needing help, such as stubs.
- See what the community is currently talking about or make a suggestion. The admins will do their best to get back to you as soon as reasonably possible.

To-Do List[]
Preloads and guides for creating/editing pages are already on the Wiki Updating Guide. This section is mostly meant to help editors choose a theme to focus on.
Version Changes[]
Things that need to be added every new version are listed in patch notes. In short those are: game modes, permanent shops, story chapters, characters (Valkyries/ELFs/AstralOps), gear, outfits, enemies, and items related to any of the aforementioned. Most important are battlesuits, outfits, weapons, and stigmata. They are the most looked-up content, and the official discord server's [Bunny] bot relies on wiki having pages for them to display anything. Information on those can be acquired from the English beta before the actual patch goes live.
Changes to pre-existing content listed in patch notes should be reflected on the wiki, with all relevant pages getting an update. It is recommended to double-check the text in-game, as patch notes may not include all the text that's changed.
Events[]
Event pages can be made using the in-game news board. As it is a separate website, it can be loaded outside the game. Once the event is gone, so is the related news notice, which is why it's important to add them as they come up. Although events that have ended can still be added based on videos or screenshots found online (such as on YouTube), finding other users who scrolled through the news can be hard if not near impossible. As such, if you see that a new event hasn't been added yet, we implore you to make a page for it.
Summaries[]
Plot summaries for chapters, characters, organizations, places, etc. help Captains refresh their memory about certain chapters, guide those who skipped a story segment, and lets people outside the fandom understand what makes Honkai Impact 3rd special for us. Media literacy and proper grammar* are required. Summaries should be written in third person, mostly using simple present.

* The wiki doesn't hold preferences over British or Americanized spelling, due to being maintained mostly by foreigners who are native to neither. However, widely accepted rules like not capitalizing random words within a sentence or ending sentences with a punctuation symbol need to be followed by everybody.
Scripts[]
Outside datamine, scripts can be added with the help of OCR tools (optical character recognition tools) by recording a stage and letting the software analyze the text it sees. OCR solutions sometimes make mistakes, such as writing I (capital-case i) as l (lower-case L), and those have to be corrected manually. Writing everything by hand is not recommended due to the increased probability of typos showing up.
The process can be lengthy and we're grateful for anyone willing to contribute. You can check out the table below to see our current progress. Please note that the table is wide and may require horizontal scrolling on mobile.

Long-Term Plans[]
Below is a list of things we considered implementing and their status. The list was made at the end of 2024 and does not include all the projects completed prior. These generally include things that require some coding knowledge--Lua aside, wikitext as a markup language can be used to make interactive elements and not everyone has learned it and knows what templates are--or in-game assets not many know how to get. The less people know how to do a thing, the slower its implementation.
