Items in Honkai Impact 3 are in-game collectibles that can be obtained by Captains via permanent activities, limited-time events, and real-life promotions. Unlike equipment, items cannot be equipped on battlesuits.

For fragments, see Fragments.

EXP Items[]

EXP items are used to increase battlesuits' levels, boosting their stats and potentially unlocking new skills.

Legacy EXP Chips[]

Type-specific exp chips would give more exp to a battlesuit of a matching type. All of them were removed in Version 3.7.

Level Up Materials[]

A varying amount of level up materials will be consumed when leveling up a character with the amount corresponding to the character's current level. Each character requires materials that includes their name in the item tag. On higher levels, leveling up a character requires  Volatile Krystallum on top of the Regulade, with  Volatile Krystalloid joining the cost on even higher levels.

Even once all the characters reach max level, the level up materials can still be obtained and the exceed will remain in APHO 2 inventory with no way to recycle it.

Unreleased[]

Leveling up characters was supposed to require more advanced materials at higher levels,[1] but the items never made it to the live version of APHO 2, likely to make maxing all the characters easier.

Talent Upgrade Materials[]

Talent upgrade materials can be obtained from completing missions and other objectives. Captains can obtain enough materials to unlock all talents for each character.

Expansion Chips[]

Expansions chips can be inserted into the Moon Ring once unlocked, mostly to improve the APHO 2 combat experience. Moon Ring has 3 different plans which can be used to save a chip setup.

Currencies[]

Currencies are the most common item type, assigned to a variety of items-from consumables that recover stamina to boxes that can grant Captains other items.
