Herrscher of the Void persona, also referred to as Sirin, was one of the main antagonists of Honkai Impact 3rd, born out of Sirin's hatred towards humanity. She was fighting with Kiana Kaslana over control of the latter's body.
Personality[]
Compared to Sirin, Herrscher of the Void persona was more mature, much more calm and composed, and regal. Yet despite her calm appearance, she still has a seething, raging, anger for humanity underneath. She enjoyed seeing humanity suffer, viewing normal humans as being beneath her—taking joy in utterly overpowering them and reveling in their helplessness. However, because of this, she was also quickly shocked and angered when someone exceeds her expectations.
She was prideful and self-centered, seeing even the Herrscher of Domination as nothing but a toy to let her take control once again.
In contrast to most of the other Herrscher personas, Kiana's alter hated her host and wanted to destroy everything she holds dear, using words to mentally weaken Kiana on every occasion.
Story[]
Chapter II[]
Herrscher of the Void appears in Kiana's dreams, 2 days and a day before the latter's yearly Valkyrie exams. She doesn't state her motives or even shares her name and instead taunts Kiana, has Kiana chase her around, and fight her illusionary minions. She attempts to plant seeds of distrust inside of Kiana towards Kiana's best friends and dear teachers via illusions. Whenever she feels like it, the Herrscher gives Kiana bits and pieces of information about her parents, her dead mother Cecilia Schariac and her missing father Siegfried Kaslana, that she wasn't aware of and deeply desires to know more about, prolonging her exposure to the Herrscher's influence. On the 2nd night Kiana is lured in the dream, Herrscher of the Void offered to share her powers with Kiana if only she'd be willing to team up but the proposal was, unexpectedly, denied.
On the day of the exam, she captures Kiana inside the dream during the day and lets her identity as the 2nd Herrscher be known. She proclaims to have been the cause behind Cecilia's death. The revelation is soon followed by an intense fight between the two. In the meantime, Kiana, unable to control her body, has walked towards and onboard the Selene where she's found and rescued out of the dream by her friends. The Herrscher returns to dormant state afterwards, but her short emergences don't go unnoticed by Rita Rossweisse, Otto Apocalypse's agent.
Trivia[]
- Herrscher of the Void is said to have "summoned" Keys of the Void from the Void Realms, rather than materialize them.
- Keys of the Void changed their appearance and became Domain of the Void as they "waited" for HoV's return in the Imaginary Space.
