MOTH, or Fire Moth and aka the Moth That Chases The Flames, was the former anti-Honkai organization of the Previous Era.

Background[]

The Fire Moth (long name: THE MOTH WHO CH△SE THE FL△MES)  was a rebel organization located in Nagazora City, which was founded by human beings in the Previous Era. The mission of this organization was to protect people and eliminate Honkai threats.

However, when the 14th Herrscher eliminated the Previous Era, this organization was also wiped out.

Acronym: MOTH (Myrmidon Of Taskforce Honkai)

Projects[]

Quantum Mechanics[]

Professor MEI researched quantum mechanics and used its capabilities to eliminate Honkai threats.

Sacred Relics[]

Sacred Relics are a series of mass-produced weapons driven by materials similar to the Herrscher core, with a unified design style. In Schicksal organization, many Sacred Relic weapons have been unearthed in many places such as Baikal. The holy relic weapons currently available in Honkai Impact 3rd are as follows:

  • 2nd, light long-range general-purpose combat weapon (Double Pistols), excavated on Lake Baikal
  • 3rd, melee combat adaptive combat weapon (Sword), excavated on Lake Baikal
  • 5th, ultra long-range special combat weapons (Missile), excavated on Lake Baikal
  • 7th, general-purpose slash weapon (Claymore), excavated in the Black Forest region of Germany
  • 11th, general-purpose weapon (Cross), excavated in Hardanger, Norway

PRI-ARM[]

A weapon-making process that could upgrade weapons beyond their usual limits. The method was rediscovered by Schicksal after they found a base with an upgraded version of the 11th Sacred Relic, the 11th Leitourgia.

MANTIS Project[]

When the organization discovered that the 7th Herrscher was too strong against any normal human, Professor MEI started the Soldier project in order to improve human strength by fusing the human body with the DNA of Honkai beasts. These soldier were called "Fusion Warriors" or MANTIS (Massively Augmented Neo-Tech Integrated Soldiers). While initially successful, all but 13 of them were killed fighting the 11th Herrscher, another was killed by the 12th, and 4 more died at the hands of the Final Herrscher. By the present Era, only 2 MANTIS remain alive, one of them off-world.

  • Kevin Kaslana fused with the DNA of the Emperor-class Honkai beast, Parvati, giving him the power to control ice, and also make his body temperature drop to -30°C, making anybody standing near him turn cold. With his newfound ice powers, he used Judgement of Shamash to defeat the Herrschers of Flames, Earth and Binding.
  • In order to maximize the effects of the experiment, Dr. MEI decided to gather surviving soldiers on the battlefield and throw them into a ruined city full of Honkai beasts. Wanting to use life and death to stimulate the potential of the subject's body, and improve the success chance of the Fusion Warrior experiment. A new super soldier was born: MSA-209 HUA, better known in modern times as Fu Hua.
  • In Sea of Quanta, there is a Fire Moth super soldier, numbered CM-004. Appearance is same as Unforgotten Apostle, with a pendant storing electronic photos of herself and her sister on her neck. Her name was Sakura. The bubble universe preserved the final moments of her life, along with the birth of the Herrscher of Corruption.

Holy Sword Durandal[]

According to its own description, it is a super weapon built by the pre-civilization era. The author personally speculates that it was an experimental weapon that the previous era tried to achieve the same destructive effect as the Divine Key without using the core of Herrscher. Although it is also made of Soulium, it differs from the Divine Key in that it is powered by 7 "gems" with different sub-functions, and can only exert its full power when all 7 gems are attached to the sword. One of the gems was an AI with self-awareness. Each gems has its own unique use when it is independent of the sword. The complete weapon can cut space itself, causing unavoidable damage. After being made, it fell into a sleep state out of boredom and refused to wake until the next era. The sword eventually merged with the soul of Schrodinger and would inspire Bianka to adopt its name as her own.

The Divine Key Project[]

MEI and Prometheus A.I. created this project in order to make Divine Key weapons, and use it against the Honkai. Many of them were created by the Flame-Chaser Vill-V. Eleven powerful Divine Keys were made in total before the organization stopped making them, after their creator became terrified of the Void Archives. However, only 7 out of 11 Divine Key weapons were found as of today.

  • 1st Divine Key (Reason)/Key of Revelation: Void Archives - Stores an infinite amount of knowledge, can mimic the other Divine Keys and has a mind of its own. The risks of it becoming omniscient led to its sealing. The last key made by Vill-V. Formerly wielded by Otto Apocalypse, currently wielded by itself.
  • 2nd Divine Key (Void)/Key of Infinity: Cosmic Juggernaut - A flying train-like vehicle that can travel through the Sea of Quanta and create bubble universes. Wielded by Su.
  • 3rd Divine Key (Thunder)/Key of Sanction: Seven Thunders of Retribution: A shapeshifting weapon that can weaponize electricity. Formerly wielded by SAKURA and Raven, currently wielded by Mei.
  • 4th Divine Key (Wind): <unknown> - An orbital weapons system/terraformer built by Vill-V.
  • 5th Divine Key (Ice)/Suspended Key: The Great Hibernation - A weapon of mass destruction, turned into a set of cryogenic arrays.
  • 6th Divine Key (Death)/Key of Creation: Abyss Flower - Can create and destroy things down to the molecular level. Can also separate itself into two different weapons. Heirloom of the Schariac family. Formerly wielded by Elysia and Cecilia Schariac, currently wielded by Bianka Ataegina/Durandal.
  • 7th Divine Key (Flames)/Key of Destruction: Judgement of Shamash/Cleaver of Shamash/Might of An-Utu - A pair of pistols that can merge into a greatsword of immense power. At full power, it will burn anything around it, including its user. Heirloom of the Kaslana family. Wielded by Kevin Kaslana and his descendants.
  • 8th Divine Key (Sentience)/Key of Sentience: Fenghuang Down - A weapon that can create illusions, manipulate minds and alter memories. Wielded by Fu Hua.
  • 9th Divine Key (Earth)/Key of Devouring: Twins of Eden/Star of Eden - Manipulates gravity and can create micro-singularities. Formerly wielded by Eden, currently wielded by Bronya.
  • 10th Divine Keys (Domination)/Keys of Domination: Multiple - Multiple forms and multiple appearances, with countless abilities. Wielded by many. The only Divine Key to be mass-produced.
  • 11th Divine Key (Binding)/Key of Binding: Oath of Judah - A cross that can nullify Honkai energy. Formerly wielded by Kallen Kaslana, currently wielded by Theresa.
  • 12th Divine Key (Corruption)/Key of Erosion - Was never finished out of fears it might've been a sapient being like the Void Archives. In a stigma realm that houses Yae Sakura's memories, it exists as a sword called Jizo Mitama.
  • Key of Blankness: Vermilion Knight: Eclipse - A battlesuit that can resonate with Herrscher Cores and Gems, giving their abilities to its wearer. Formerly worn by Dr. MEI and Murata Himeko. Damaged and lost in Imaginary Space after the latter's death.

S.A.V.E Top Secret Projects[]

Project S.A.V.E. stands for Stigma.Ark.Valuka.Ember is a The last project proposed by Dr. MEI, given directly to the previous era Pioneer; a series of plans to put in place in the face of humanity's annihilation. Their purpose is to ensure the survival of the Current Era

Project: Stigma[]

Pioneer: Kevin Kaslana

This is the last project created by Professor MEI to implant stigmata to the human body. MEI knew that the 14th Herrscher would later destroy their civilization, so she modified several unborn children with Honkai genetic material to give them artificial Stigmata. These Stigmata were intended to give them resistance to Honkai Energy and would be spread to the rest of the species through breeding. Eventually, Kevin would flood the world with Honkai energy, which would kill and collapse most of the human race, but those with Stigmata would survive, theoretically ending the Honkai threat to humanity for good. Of the four plans, MEI considered Stigma the worst of them all, as it would put humanity at great risk. Unfortunately, of the four plans, Stigma had the highest probability of success.

Project: Ark[]

Pioneer: Kosma (Formerly), Griseo

Vill-V, with the help of Mobius and MEI, designed a single crew starship called the Ark. The Ark preserved the knowledge of the Previous Era, along with 3844 genetic samples of flora and fauna, and 216 sets of human genetic samples. It was originally meant to be crewed by the Flame-Chaser Kosma, but his desire to stay and fight the Honkai led to his willing replacement by Griseo, the youngest of the Flame-Chasers.

The Ark was launched during the Previous Era. The ship survived the cataclysm that brought the Era to its end, but was heavily damaged in the process. When it returned to Earth, Kevin and Su engaged its self-repair systems after awakening. After a year and a half of repairs, Griseo and the Ark departed to space, but lost contact with Earth over 1500 years ago.

As it turned out, the Ark was attacked by Sa during its second journey and pulled into the Sea of Quanta, in which it fell atop the city of Hesperus and devastated it. Surprisingly, Griseo and the ship survived the impact, but she remained in cryogenic stasis for 1538 years.

Project: Valuka[]

Pioneer: Su

A Valuka was to observe the myriad universes linked to the Imaginary Tree using the power of the Cosmic Juggernaut, the Second Divine Key. Su's task was to find an universe in which humanity found the perfect solution to defeat the Honkai.

Project: Ember[]

Pioneer: Eden (Formerly), Fu Hua, Fuxi, Nuwa

An Emergency Mass Backup, Evacuation, and Revival plan. The responsible "Pioneers" were to pass knowledge and technology to the surviving humans who would rebuild civilization. Project Ember was halted once the correlation between human advancement and the strength of the Honkai was proven, combined with the deaths of Fuxi and Nuwa at the hands of Chiyou, an immensely powerful Honkai Beast.

Project: Regulator[]

Pioneer: Su

Project: Regulator was the last measure ever designed by MEI. In her final moments, she asked the Flame-Chaser Su to stop KEVIN in case he strayed from the right path...

If Kevin was deemed to have gone rogue by Su, he would bring him to the Seed of Sumeru and use the Cosmic Juggernaut's First Power to drag it to the depths of the Sea of Quanta. If necessary, Su would fight Kevin and distract him until the deed was done, which would trap both of them inside the bubble universe for eternity.

Su activated Regulator when he discovered Kevin's Honkai Energy experiments on the Britons. After failing to convince him and a fight between both of them that involved several Divine Keys, Kevin saved Su from being trapped with him at the last moment.

Project Sanctuary[]

The final, desperate move of MOTH. When the war with the Honkai proved unwinnable, a group of survivors cryogenically froze themselves within the Sanctuary, a facility powered by the Great Hibernation, and revived in the next Era. It was enacted when the original Herrscher of Finality attacked the Earth. MOTH sent 8 of the surviving Flame-Chasers to fight her, which led to the deaths of 4 of them. After MEI and Kevin dealt a paralyzing blow to the Herrscher, most of the surviving humans went into stasis during the 12 hours she spent recovering. Once that time passed, the Herrscher devastated the world and flooded it with lethal amounts of Honkai energy.

Project ELF[]

When casualties became unbearably high and MOTH's battles and combat decreased in efficiency over time, Project ELF was instated. ELF stands for Equipment: Living Form, ELFs are small, floating robots often designed after weapons.
