Both Kiana and Kallen are proficient in Gun Kata, a fighting style that combines martial arts with gunplay. The equipped weapon can be seen even if the battlesuit focuses more on the melee combat, such as Sixth Serenade who isn't firing the guns in any of her normal attacks, but rather uses the gun as a blunt weapon.

Herrscher of the Void and Herrscher of Flamescion generally cannot be seen with their pistols equipped during combat as they change their fighting style and weapon of choice to subspace lances and greatsword respectively. Only when using specific active skills, can they be seen holding the pistols.
